- Lead legacy application modernization initiatives, including refactoring, cloud migration, and technical-debt reduction.
- Provide technical direction to engineering teams on architecture standards, technology choices, integration patterns, and delivery practices.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and customers to translate requirements into practical solution designs.
- Drive architecture governance and ensure non-functional requirements covering performance, scalability, observability, security, and maintainability are addressed.
- Support engineering delivery through hands‑on technical leadership and clear architectural decision‑making.
Required Experience and Skills
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in Solution Architect or Technical Architect roles.
- Recent hands‑on delivery experience with customer-facing digital applications and modern web or product platforms.
- Practical experience with CDN, caching, content delivery, web performance, SEO, redirect strategies, and GA4.
- Cloud-native architecture experience on Azure, AWS, or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and secure deployment patterns.
- Proven experience modernizing established products through refactoring, re-platforming, or migration to modern architectures.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly to product, business, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with content-driven digital platforms or modern web and content-management ecosystems.
- Experience in high-availability product engineering environments with measurable performance and scalability requirements.
- Architecture leadership across multidisciplinary, distributed, and customer-facing teams.
What Success Looks Like
- Architecture decisions are practical, clearly documented, and aligned with product and engineering priorities.
- Modernization is delivered while managing risk, quality, service continuity, and technical debt.
- Engineering teams receive clear technical direction and can implement solutions consistently across the product ecosystem.
- Digital products demonstrate strong performance, scalability, security, observability, and maintainability.
