CNC Milling Operator

CNC Milling Operator required for my client based in Loughborough 12 week temp to perm Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00 Friday 07:00 – 13:00 (Early finish every week) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Milling Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience operating milling machines who takes pride in producing high-quality components and is eager to further develop their skills in setting and programming. Main Duties & Responsibilities * Operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards * Carrying out in-process and final inspection using: o Micrometers o Verniers o Gauging equipment * Maintaining a clean and safe working environment * Following company procedures for quality and safety Candidate Requirements * Previous experience operating CNC milling machines * Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Competent in the use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Reliable, punctual, and a good team player Desirable (but not essential) * Experience with CNC setting * Basic knowledge of CNC programming Benefits - Opportunity to develop into CNC setting and programming roles - Comprehensive on-the-job training - Opportunity for a permanent contract following a successful probationary period. - Excellent work-life balance with a 13:00 finish on Fridays.
