Job description
We're looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our small team in Blackheath. We are seeking someone with kitchen experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Our shop mainly focuses on brunch service during the day with pancakes being a big thing! We also open every Friday and Saturday evening for a slightly more refined dining experience. Our focus is on incredible produce, keeping things fresh and seasonal, and letting the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. It's a small, tight-knit kitchen, so for the right person, there is a huge amount of creative freedom to get involved with menu design and develop their skills.
Oh and we got TRONC ontop of the rate of pay!
- Day-to-Day Kitchen Operations: Help manage and run prep and service during daytime brunch shifts and weekend evening services.
- Menu Design & Creativity: Collaborate directly on creating new seasonal dishes, daily specials, and updating our food offerings.
- Prep & Station Setup: Ensure high standards of prep, plating, and quality control, especially during high-volume brunch shifts.
- Stock & Produce Management: Assist with ordering fresh, seasonal produce from suppliers, managing inventory, and keeping food waste to a minimum.
