Mechanical Fitter - Scunthorpe 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Monday to Thursday: 07:45 to 16:30 Friday: 07:45 to 13:15 (early finish) The Company We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established engineering business based in Scunthorpe. This is a multi national organisation with a strong reputation, modern equipment, and a genuinely supportive working environment. The Role Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for the assembly, disassembly and testing of bespoke machinery. This is a hands-on role involving the service and retrofit of complex mechanical systems from engineering drawings, with occasional involvement in on site installations. Key Responsibilities * Assemble and build mechanical components and complex units from engineering drawings * Align materials and fit parts to tight tolerances * Select and modify components based on measurements and specifications * Carry out mechanical fitting work including drilling, tapping and adjustments * Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely * Support installations on customer sites when required, including occasional travel About You * Time served Mechanical Engineering qualification, Level 3 or equivalent * Strong background in mechanical fitting, not just basic assembly * Experience working with tolerances, measurements and component...
