A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join a busy, food-led gastro inn in Hertfordshire, serving around 200 covers a day.
With an established kitchen team, a Head Chef who values a good work-life balance and genuine flexibility around your shifts, this is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys a busy service without wanting to sacrifice their time outside work.

This is a popular country inn with a lively food operation, a varied menu and plenty going on throughout service. The kitchen caters for a high volume of covers, so you'll need to enjoy a fast-paced environment and be confident keeping standards high when things get busy.
You'll be joining a solid brigade, with around five chefs on during service alongside two Kitchen Porters. The Head Chef is already working a four-day week, and they're open to discussing a working pattern that suits the right person.
The standard hours are around 48 per week, but there may even be scope to work four days, depending on how the shifts are arranged.
