Freshfields is seeking an Antitrust Litigation Associate to join its leading competition litigation team in London, United Kingdom. The role involves working on high-profile cartel damages, abuse of dominance cases, collective proceedings, and class actions within UK courts and the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction.
- Ideally 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong technical and commercial abilities with top-class academics.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and supervise more junior lawyers and trainees.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Draft complex witness statements, expert reports, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Run project processes on significant cases and work towards acting as lead associate.
- Collaborate closely with leading barristers, economists, and expert witnesses.
- Manage document reviews, disclosure projects, and attend mediation or settlement discussions.
- Participate in business development activities and mentor junior associates and trainees.
