Full-Time Care Support Worker

Are you caring, reliable and flexible? Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives?

AQS Homecare is looking for a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Care Support Worker to join our team and help us maintain high-quality, person-centred care for the people we support.

This is an important and varied role for someone who can adapt to changing service needs, respond to short-notice staffing requirements and provide reassurance and continuity to service users when they need it most.

About the role

As a Care Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of our care services by:

  • Providing short-notice cover for sickness absence and unexpected staffing shortages.
  • Taking temporary responsibility for delivering care to packages while permanent recruitment is underway.
  • Providing hands-on care and support to service users in their own homes.

  • Working flexibly across different care packages in response to service needs.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Promoting dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.

This role is focused on the delivery of care and maintaining continuity of service. It does not include responsibility for undertaking care assessments or formally assessing service users' care needs.

About you

  • Is reliable, adaptable and able to respond to short-notice requests for cover.
  • Is confident supporting different service users with a range of care needs.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a compassionate, professional approach.
  • Can work independently while being a positive member of the wider team.
  • Has experience in domiciliary care, ideally with an understanding of person-centred support.
  • Is willing to undertake relevant training and meet all required safer recruitment checks.

What we offer

  • A full-time position with AQS Homecare.
  • A varied and rewarding role where your contribution is valued.
