Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant - Slough (Hybrid) - 12 Month Contract - £16 - £18 per hour dependant on experience

IN2 Consult has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to work with a market leading client of ours based in Slough on an initial 12 month contract.

The duties of the Assistant Accountant role includes:

• Own the monthly balance sheet reconciliations, making sure every balance is complete, accurate and supported
• Reconcile and confirm all intercompany and related party balances each month
• Post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayment amortisation
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Group, local management and Compliance
• Support regulatory reporting and VAT return preparation
• Become the team’s go-to person on the GL and P2P systems, fixing issues and improving processes
• Provide AP cover and process sales invoices, working with customers and dealers
• Work with Group Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit, IT and the external auditors

The successful Assistant Accountant will:

• A junior or part-qualified accountant; CIMA, ACA or ACCA studiers are welcome, though this is not required
• Hands-on balance sheet reconciliation and month-end experience
• Advanced Excel
• Clear communication with people at all levels
