Floor / Cafe All-rounder

Hemma Social is a new neighbourhood café and family space at 14 Tandy Place, East Village, London E20 3AS, opening around 16–18 November 2026. We are hiring a Floor / Café All-rounder. Your station is the floor: welcome guests, take orders and payments, serve tables, clear and clean, and keep the family space welcoming. This is a separate position alongside our Barista & Smoothie Maker and Kitchen Prep / Café Cook. The owner runs the business and organises the team.

• Welcome guests, take orders/payments and communicate with the kitchen and drinks station.

  Serve food/drinks, clear tables, wash up and restock.

  Help families check into and out of soft play, follow entry/exit procedures and explain play-space rules. Parents remain responsible for supervising their children.

  Clean/reset toys and play areas, keep the café tidy and promptly report hazards or concerns.

  Follow allergen procedures and opening/closing checklists after training.

  Work alongside our separate cook and barista during busy weekend service.

• Some hands-on café, restaurant or similar customer-service experience.

  Friendly communication, reliability and a warm welcome for families.

  Children's activities, family café or soft-play experience is especially welcome.

  Willing to serve, clear, wash up, restock and keep the café clean.

  Able to follow till, allergen, cleaning and safety procedures.
