CSI Operative

Job Description

To operate, monitor and maintain palletising equipment, ensuring finished products are stacked, wrapped, and prepared for storage or distribution safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Operate palletiser machinery in line with company procedures and production requirements.
\n
• Ensure products are correctly stacked and securely placed onto pallets.
\n
• Monitor machine performance and identify any operational issues or product defects.
\n
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different product specifications, packaging formats, and stacking patterns.
\n
• Ensure a continuous flow of product onto the palletiser conveyor system.
\n
• Conduct quality checks to ensure pallet presentation and product standards are maintained.
\n
• Complete relevant operational, production and maintenance documentation.
\n
• Maintain housekeeping standards and keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
\n
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality procedures.
\n
• Communicate effectively with Production Operatives, Team Leaders and Supervisors to maximise operational efficiency.
\n
• Operate material handling equipment safely where authorised and trained.
\n

Skills and Experience

Essential

\n

\n
• Experience working within a manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG environment.
\n
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Good attention to detail.
\n
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
\n
• Good communication skills.
\n

Desirable

\n

\n
• Previous experience operating palletising or automated production equipment.
\n
• Counterbalance or Reach Truck licence.
\n
• Experience of machine adjustments.
\n
• Food manufacturing experience.
\n
• FLT licence.
\n
\n

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
\n

Physical Requirements

\n

\n
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
\n
• Ability to lift and move products in line with safe working practices.
\n
• Comfortable working in a production environment with moving machinery.
\n
