Are you an experienced children's residential Registered Manager looking for an opportunity to build and lead a brand-new service?\n
\n
\n We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to oversee an exciting new children's residential provision in Lanchester, County Durham, offering a competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum, performance-related bonuses and excellent opportunities for career progression.\n

\n This unique development comprises three modern barn-conversion homes, each providing individual accommodation for a young person aged 7–17. Set within peaceful countryside surroundings, the homes will operate under a single Ofsted registration, providing a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.\n
\n
\n Working alongside an experienced Responsible Individual and Director, you'll have the opportunity to recruit your own team, establish a positive culture and shape the service from the ground up.\n
\n
The Role\n
\n
\nAs Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:\n
\n

\n
• Lead the development and opening of the new children's residential provision, including preparation for Ofsted registration.
\n
• Recruit, manage and develop a dedicated residential care team, promoting a positive and supportive working culture.
\n
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, regulatory compliance and quality assurance across all three homes.
\n
• Oversee individual care plans, admissions, transitions and outcomes for young people with complex needs.
\n
• Champion trauma-informed and PACE-based approaches, ensuring children receive consistent, person-centred support.
\n
• Build effective relationships with local authorities, families, social workers and external professionals.
\n
• Manage staffing, budgets, training, health and safety and the day-to-day operation of the service.
\n
• Work closely with senior leadership to support the continued development and long-term success of the provision.

Requirements\n
\n
\nTo be considered for this Registered Manager opportunity, you will need:\n
\n

\n
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within children's residential care.
\n
• At least 2 years' experience in a management or senior leadership position.
\n
• Previous experience supporting children with learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
\n
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
\n
• A proven track record of achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
\n
• Strong knowledge of children's residential care regulations, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
\n
• A full UK driving licence.
