We are looking for *a Lifeguard *to join our *Operations Team.* *Role Type : Part Time* *Number of Hours : 20* In this role, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our members, ensuring the highest standards of poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience.

You will act as a trusted ambassador for the club, responding confidently to situations, maintaining operational excellence and delivering exceptional service every day. *The Role* * Supervise all pool and spa areas, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of members and guests at all times. * Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a friendly, approachable and welcoming environment for every member. * Carry out routine poolside safety checks, water testing and plant monitoring, accurately recording all required information. * Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, following all Virgin Active operating procedures and lifeguarding protocols. * Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all poolside, spa and changing facilities. * Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and mandatory training requirements. * Support the wider Operations team with the day-to-day running of the club, helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout. * Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities when required, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the club. *Who We're Looking For* * Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a safe, enjoyable member experience. * Calm, confident and able to remain composed under pressure. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with members and colleagues. * High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and operational standards. * Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. * Competency swimming up to 50 metres *No lifeguard qualification?
