Company:
Are you a Multi Skilled Engineer looking for an engineering role with a great team, offering long-term stability and genuine opportunities to progress? This could be the one!
We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, established manufacturing site, maintaining fast-moving production machinery in a busy factory environment.
You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced Engineering Team, with some engineers having been with the business for over 20 + years. They are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a solid team of engineers, getting stuck into hands-on maintenance and tackling both electrical and mechanical challenges.
Whether you’re an electrically biased Multi Skilled Engineer or a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer keen to broaden your electrical skills, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, develop your expertise and build a long-term career with scope for further progression and salary increases.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team of around 2 Engineers per shift, you will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly and minimising downtime. Your work will be varied, hands-on and far from repetitive, including:
- Reactive maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs on fast-moving production machinery.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults.
- Supporting projects, new machinery installations and equipment refurbishments.
- Working closely with the Engineering and Production Teams to keep operations running efficiently.
Requirements
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in maintenance, service engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- A background as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a good understanding of electrical fault finding.
- Experience with any of the following would be considered: conveyors, packaging machinery, bearings, belts, three-phase systems, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, pneumatics, hydraulics, chains, gears or pumps.
You don’t need experience with everything – a solid foundation and willingness to learn are what matter.
A friendly, adaptable approach and the ability to work well as part of an established team.
A proactive, hands-on attitude with a genuine passion for fault-finding, fixing machinery and keeping production moving.
