Manufacturing Buyer & Material Planner £32,000 West Midlands The Company Our Client are seeking a commercially and technically minded Manufacturing Buyer to manage the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, hardware, and sub-contract fabrication services. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to further their career in the fast-paced world of buying and procurement. Working closely with our engineering, planning and production teams, you will utilize Sage 200 to manage inventory, raise purchase orders, and ensure a steady flow of materials to hit strict manufacturing deadlines. The Role * Daily management of the purchasing cycle utilizing Sage 200 (including the Manufacturing/MRP modules). * Raise, issue, and track Purchase Orders within Sage 200 to meet production and stock requirements. * Maintain accurate system data, ensuring lead times, supplier pricing, and stock levels are up to date. * Collaborate with Goods Inwards to resolve any delivery discrepancies via Sage. * Supplier coordination to ensure continuous material availability to prevent factory line stoppages. * Negotiate competitive pricing, favourable payment terms, and robust lead times with suppliers with a track record of achieving cost savings and managing supplier relationships. * Resolve non-conformances, delivery discrepancies, and quality issues swiftly with suppliers and internal quality te...
