Full Time Medical Receptionist/Administrator

Bankfield Medical Practice is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised medical receptionist/administrator to join our team. We are an established training practice within Ayrshire and Arran and therefore you would be joining a driven and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 4 (National 4/Standard Grade) with excellent written and verbal communication, along with good computer skills. Experience of working in a healthcare setting would be advantageous and whilst it is desirable to have knowledge of GP based IT systems full training will be provided. We currently use EMIS PCS and Docman 7. Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills are required, the ability to provide attention to detail and observe strict confidentiality.

Duties of the role include dealing carefully and sensitively with patients at reception and on the phone, making appointments, result handling, dealing with general enquiries, processing prescription requests, scanning clinical correspondence, dealing with delegated tasks from clinical staff and general administration. Working as part of a team, you must be able to co-ordinate a variety of office functions simultaneously. Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable.

The hours of this post are 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday and will include a 3 month probationary period.
