The Role

As a Full-Stack Developer with a front-end focus, you’ll primarily build engaging, responsive and user-friendly interfaces for a range of client web applications and managed products, while also contributing to back-end development where appropriate.

You’ll work mainly with React, TypeScript and Next.js, collaborating closely with designers, account managers and other developers to turn requirements and designs into high-quality digital experiences.

You’ll take ownership of features and tasks assigned to you, with opportunities to work across the stack and develop your technical skills alongside more experienced developers. We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in front-end development, an eye for detail and a desire to build great user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Translate designs, wireframes and product requirements into well-built, reusable front-end components.
• Work closely with designers to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences.
• Integrate front-end applications with APIs, back-end services and databases.
• Contribute to back-end development, including API development, database queries and server-side functionality, as required.
• Write clean, maintainable and tested code, following established development practices.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor) to support coding, testing, debugging and code review.
• Take responsibility for the quality and reliability of your work, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Participate in code reviews, learning from feedback and contributing to the team’s development standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across development, design, account management and QA to deliver projects effectively.
• Manage your own workload across multiple projects, communicating progress and raising potential issues early.
• Contribute ideas to improve development processes and stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required skills

Essential

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on front-end development.
• Good working knowledge of TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (experience with Supabase is a plus)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Experience using Git and working within agile delivery
• Some experience writing and maintaining automated tests, or a strong willingness to develop this skill.
• An interest in AI-assisted development tools and a willingness to integrate them into your daily workflow.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the team
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Desirable

• Experience working with headless CMS e.g. Sanity CMS, Contentful etc
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude in a professional environment.
