Get Paid to Travel. Build a Career. Work on Major UK Infrastructure.

Looking for more than a typical administration role?

At Centara Ltd, you'll work on major UK infrastructure projects, travel nationwide, develop specialist technical skills and build a long-term career within the power and utilities sector. Centara Ltd provides surveying, engineering and drawing management services to leading utility and infrastructure organisations across the UK and is part of the RSK Group.

We're looking for an organised and motivated individual to join our growing Engineering team. Whether you're starting your career or looking for a fresh challenge, we'll provide the training, support and experience to help you succeed.

What You'll Receive

  • Starting salary of £26,500.
  • Stay-away bonus for overnight visits.
  • Access to a company pool vehicle and fuel card.
  • Hotels, meals and travel expenses covered.
  • Flexible office working.
  • Pension, life assurance and employee benefits package.
  • Ongoing training and clear progression opportunities.

The Role

This is a varied position combining technical administration, document control and site-based project support.

You'll:

  • Travel to sites across the UK supporting infrastructure projects.
  • Audit and manage engineering drawings and project documentation.
  • Scan, digitise and organise technical records.
  • Produce reports and maintain project information.
  • Support engineers, project teams and clients.
  • Help ensure projects meet quality and compliance standards.

No two days are the same. One week you may be working at a major electricity substation, the next supporting a project team on a different site elsewhere in the UK.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required.

Desirable

  • Administration or document control experience.
  • Experience in engineering, construction or utilities.
  • AutoCAD knowledge.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.

Career Development

The role comes with a clearly defined career progression path, and you’ll be given full support to diversify into a wide range of further opportunities as you become more experienced.
