Role: English Teacher – KS3–KS4 Location: Manchester Contract: Full-time, temporary-to-permanent Start Date: ASAP Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience An urban secondary academy in Manchester is seeking a committed English Teacher who can engage pupils from a range of backgrounds and help them achieve their potential. The school is looking for someone who combines strong subject knowledge with a consistent and encouraging approach to classroom management. The Role Teach English language and literature to KS3 and KS4 classes. Deliver structured lessons that develop reading, writing and analytical skills. Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations. Use regular assessment to identify pupils who need additional support or challenge. Work closely with pastoral colleagues to promote attendance, engagement and positive behaviour. The Candidate Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification. Has a positive, resilient approach to classroom teaching. Can establish clear routines and maintain purposeful lessons. Is committed to inclusion and helping pupils build confidence in English.
