Fractional Finance Director

Robert Half is proud to be supporting a fast-growing financial services group based in Bristol in the recruitment of a Fractional Finance Director. Following multiple acquisitions, the business has developed a detailed two-year growth plan focused on organic growth and further acquisitions.

The business is now looking for an experienced finance leader to work closely with the wider finance and governance teams, helping to shape financial strategy, strengthen financial modelling and forecasting, and support future growth. Having funded previous acquisitions through internal cash reserves, the business is keen to gain greater visibility of its financial position and assess the opportunities and funding requirements associated with future deals.

Fractional Finance Director
2-3 days per week
Bristol (hybrid)
12-month contract
Competitive day rate

A strategic, hands-on FD role reporting to the CEO, acting as the financial lead on the next phase of growth:

• Build an integrated financial model that shows the current position and tests acquisition scenarios
• Lead the debt raise for the next acquisitions and manage relationships with lenders
• Lead financial evaluation of targets, then integrate acquired businesses with the same reporting, processes and controls as the rest of the group
• Own financial governance, the relationship with the newly appointed auditors and FCA capital adequacy.
• Provide clear MI and board packs and get the business ready for investment.

The ideal profile:

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualified, with experience at FD level
• Strong modelling, presented with confidence to banks, investors and third parties
• M&A and debt-raising experience
• Experience in an FCA-regulated business (financial services, wealth or insurance preferred)
• Energy, presence and a base within reach of Bristol
