Senior SEMH Teaching Assistant | Gateshead
Protocol Education is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Gateshead.
This role is ideal for an experienced TA who is ready to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in supporting both pupils and colleagues.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Delivering interventions and mentoring sessions
- Monitoring behaviour, attendance and progress
- Producing pupil reports and records
- Contributing to EHCP reviews
- Supporting intervention planning
- Leading small-group learning activities
- Sharing best practice with other support staff
Essential Skills:
- Proven SEMH experience
- Strong behaviour management
- Excellent written communication
- Ability to work independently
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
