Key Details: Role: Attendance Officer Location: Oxford Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time (Permanent or long-term temporary options available) Environment: Collaborative school team with strong pastoral support and well-established administrative systems Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and tracking daily student attendance and punctuality. Contacting parents and carers regarding unexplained absences and maintaining accurate attendance records using school management systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom). Analyzing attendance data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement. Assisting with attendance panels, meetings, and interventions for persistent absenteeism. Liaising with pastoral teams, heads of year, and external agencies to support student engagement and compliance with school policies. Requirements: Previous experience in an attendance, administrative, or pastoral role (experience within a school or education setting is strongly preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling sensitive conversations with parents, students, and staff.
