HGV Class 1 Driver - Warrington People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Newton Le Willows, Merseyside. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum shift pay, and ongoing work with a leading logistics business. This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Rates of Pay: * £18.00 per hour * Weekly pay * All holidays accrued seperately Shift Pattern: * Monday to Friday * AM Start times - 07:00 Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: * Ongoing work with a leading logistics company * Guaranteed minimum shift pay * Weekly pay * Comprehensive training programme * Opportunity to work for an established and reputable business * Supportive transport team * Long-term work opportunities Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: * Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently * Completing trunking, drop and swap duties * Operating curtain-sided vehicles * Securing loads using straps where required * Taking photographs to document successful deliveries * Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations * Reporting customer concerns promptly to management * Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts * Reporting defects and maintenance issues as required * Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road transport regulations Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: * A minimum of 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience * A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence * A valid Driver CPC Card * A valid Digital Tachograph Card * No more than six penalty points for minor offences * No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 * Strong customer service and communication skills * Good spoken and written English * Excellent timekeeping and reliability Training: * First-day assessment * Industry-related training provided * Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
