Production Manager

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Somerset who is actively looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. What you will be doing: You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring the operation delivers safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, food safety and hygiene. * Leading and developing the production team. * Planning and managing production to meet targets and budgets. * Monitoring production performance, yields, waste and efficiency. * Maintaining high standards of food safety, HACCP, GMP and hygiene. * Managing production processes from milk intake through to packing. * Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste and downtime. * Working closely with Technical, Engineering and other departments. * Managing performance, training and development within the production team. * Ensuring compliance with company procedures and audit requirements. What you will need to succeed: You will ideally have: * Proven experience in a Production Management or senior production role within food/dairy manufacturing. * Experience leading and developing production teams. * Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * A proactive approach to continuous improvement. * Excellent communication and leadership skills.
