Role Overview
A nurturing primary school in Windsor is seeking an inspiring enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team this key role you will lead a bright Year 2 class establishing a supportive and stimulating learning environment that prepares pupils for Key Stage 1 statutory assessments (SATs) and eases their eventual transition into Key Stage 2. You will deliver a well-rounded creative curriculum that builds strong literacy numeracy and independent learning skills. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver high-quality differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of all pupils within a diverse Year 2 classroom.
Prepare pupils effectively for Key Stage 1 assessments and moderation tracking individual progress in reading writing and mathematics.
Maintain a positive inclusive classroom environment focused on emotional wellbeing high expectations and constructive behaviour management.
Work collaboratively with Key Stage 1 colleagues teaching assistants and the SENCO to implement effective interventions for pupils with SEND or EAL needs.
Build strong communicative relationships with parents and carers to foster active home-school engagement.
Key Requirements
Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Proven teaching experience or strong placement history within Key Stage 1 with sound knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment framework.
Proficiency in early reading and systematic synthetic phonics programs (e.g. Read Write Inc. Little Wandle or Sounds-Write).
Strong classroom management organizational and interpersonal skills.
Legal right to work in the UK.
