Job description

TPF Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Practice Accountant for an excellent accountancy practice in Tunbridge Wells. The firm has a fantastic reputation and strong staff retention and we have successfully placed numerous candidates with the business over the years.

As a Senior Practice Accountant you will primarily provide accounts and tax services to a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses. There is also the opportunity to learn and undertake a small amount of audit work offering additional variety and the chance to broaden your experience.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of owner managed businesses.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting clients with their tax requirements.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and deliver a professional responsive service.
  • Working closely with colleagues to complete assignments accurately and within deadlines.
  • Developing your audit experience through a small amount of audit work alongside your core accounts and tax responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
  • A strong background in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients.
  • An organised approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • An interest in broadening your experience within a supportive team.

Required Skills:

Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
