A scholarly secondary academy in West Sussex is seeking an exceptional Head of Mathematics to lead its quantitative faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January. Job Overview The Head of Mathematics takes overall responsibility for the curriculum delivery, academic progress, and teaching standards across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / Further Mathematics). Leading a large team of specialists, you will refine schemes of work, manage pupil setting, oversee targeted revision programs, and promote mathematical problem-solving competitions across the school. Job Overview Science is a flagship department at this institution. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, managing classroom teaching, laboratory safety, curriculum design, and exam outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Working alongside senior leadership, a team of subject leads, and laboratory technicians, you will maintain high standards in GCSE Combined/Separate Sciences and A-Level disciplines while fostering scientific inquiry.
