About the Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every child is encouraged to participate and achieve their potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering creative lessons across the primary curriculum, including English and Mathematics.
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.
Preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage-1 assessments through effective teaching and targeted interventions.
Establishing clear classroom routines and promoting positive behaviour.
Creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.
Maintaining effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
The school is seeking a motivated teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons and create a nurturing environment for young learners.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching in a primary school, preferably within Year 2 or Key Stage 1.
A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment practices.
Effective classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
The ability to differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
