Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to take on a lead clinical position within an established first-opinion practice. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a confident veterinarian ready to combine hands-on patient care with mentoring, clinical leadership and responsibility for maintaining strong medical standards across the wider team. The successful candidate will continue consulting and performing procedures while helping guide veterinary and nursing colleagues, supporting graduate development and working closely with the Practice Manager on the continued performance and development of the clinic.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading clinical standards and ensuring consistent quality of patient care
• Mentoring veterinary colleagues and supporting structured development plans
• Managing consultations, procedures, admissions, discharges and clinical handovers
• Working with the Practice Manager to improve clinical efficiency and performance
• Holding clinical meetings and communicating changes in protocols and standards clearly
