Senior VMWare Platform Engineer

Remote based
Paying between 70,000-80,000, depending on experience.

\n We're recruiting for a Senior VMWare Platform Engineer to join a growing Platform Engineering team within a leading Managed Services Provider focused on VMware Cloud Foundation, private cloud, Kubernetes and automation technologies.

\n This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll help design, build and enhance enterprise cloud platforms, improve automation capabilities and provide technical leadership across complex infrastructure and managed service environments.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Design, build and support VMware-based cloud and managed service platforms.
\n
• Deliver complex engineering projects across virtualisation, infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
\n
• Develop Infrastructure as Code, automation and CI/CD capabilities.
\n
• Drive improvements in standardisation, operational efficiency and service reliability.
\n
• Mentor engineers and act as a technical escalation point.
\n
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks and operational standards.
\n
• Work closely with Architecture, Operations and Delivery teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Skills & Experience Required

\n

\n
• Strong VMware infrastructure experience.
\n
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration and platform engineering experience.
\n
• Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally Terraform and Kubernetes manifests.
\n
• Experience with automation, scripting and DevSecOps methodologies.
\n
• Knowledge of GitHub, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n

Paying between 70,000-80,000, depending on experience.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
