Production Operative

Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Laboratory Production Operator to join their R&D team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is keen to learn new skills within a technical and laboratory environment.

No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. Our client is looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, good attention to detail and a practical approach to work.

\n

The role is varied and involves producing material samples, operating laboratory machinery, handling raw materials, assisting with sample testing and completing basic computer-based tasks.

\n

This is a hands-on position, so you must be comfortable with physical work, handling materials and cleaning machinery. Some tasks can be messy, and sample production can involve batches weighing 50kg or more.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Producing material samples for customer requirements and internal development projects.
\n
• Handling and working with raw materials.
\n
• Operating laboratory and production machinery.
\n
• Producing injection moulding test plaques.
\n
• Cleaning down machinery and equipment after production.
\n
• Carrying out basic testing and analysis of samples in the test laboratory.
\n
• Recording results and entering information into computer systems.
\n
• Supporting the technical and R&D team with development work and day-to-day tasks.
\n
• Following company procedures, including health and safety and quality requirements.
\n

Previous laboratory or production experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are keen to hear from candidates who are:

Any previous experience in manufacturing, production or a laboratory environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Hours

\n

\n
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm.
\n
• Friday: 8:30am-2:45pm.
\n
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
