Church Planting Associate Minister

Join a busy city centre church in a wide-ranging ministry role for 3 years and then build a team and lead a church plant or revitalisation project elsewhere in the city or further afield.

The broad objective of this role is to contribute to the growth of the worshipping community at St John’s with the aim that, God willing, we can plant or revitalise another church in the city with the best team we can put together and with you as the lead planting pastor.

With that in mind, the purpose of this role would be to engage in a wide range of ministry opportunities across the church and community that are intentional about making and encouraging disciples who love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength and who will begin to recognise and value your leadership in the faith.

Therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to fulfil a lead ministry role with eldership responsibility who primarily give their ‘attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.’ (Acts 6:4). You need not be ordained in the Church of England but you would need to be willing to pursue an authorised ministry role in the CofE and/or ordination within the coming years.
