Civils Team Leader

Civils Team Leader - IMR Rochford Permanent/Full time Competitive Salary plus company benefits. Lead Operatives are to assist in the delivery of on-site project works to a safe, compliant and to a high standard of workmanship. You will play a vital role in supporting the operational activities necessary for the delivery of utility services to our customers. The Lead Operative will be responsible to the Supervisor. More about the roles: * To work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them. * To comply with the requirements of the company policies, procedures and relevant risk assessments and method statements. * To report all accidents, incidents and near misses. * To attend Stand Downs, Team Briefs and Toolbox Talks. * Follow instructions from the site supervisor and or manager to complete tasks efficiently. * Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required. * To attend training and update courses as required. * Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards. * To assist with accurately recording details of work undertaken. * Operate plant and machinery (where trained and certified). * To represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure customer satisfaction. * Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and achieve operational objectives. * Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools required for drainage work. * Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner. * Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. * You will be required to be on a works call out rota on a 1-4 basis- On a 7- day period. Job requirements Qualifications About you: * Previous experience in running small drainage or construction teams. * CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme or something similar). * Streetworks qualification (NRSWA). * Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites. * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. * Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. * Willingness to travel to various sites * Strong understanding of drainage systems. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Full UK driving licence.
