Opportunity to develop your industrial electrical engineering experience

The Role As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive electrical repairs and electrical fault diagnosis across a busy industrial energy facility in Wolverhampton.
Working alongside the maintenance and operations teams, you'll help ensure plant equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance on industrial plant and machinery.

Diagnosing electrical breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to minimise downtime.

Maintaining, inspecting and testing low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.

Fault finding on industrial motors, control panels, electrical circuits and associated equipment.

Working with PLC/DCS control wiring and industrial control systems.

Carrying out electrical testing, cable tracing and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.

Supporting planned maintenance outages, equipment changeovers and plant improvement projects.

Working safely under Permit-to-Work procedures and relevant health and safety requirements.

Recording maintenance activities, faults and repairs using the site's maintenance management system.

Supporting contractors and other maintenance colleagues when required.

What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from Electrical Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Electricians, Industrial Electricians and Electrical Maintenance Technicians with experience working on industrial machinery and electrical systems.

You'll ideally have:
NVQ Level 3 Electrical, City & Guilds qualification or a recognised electrical apprenticeship.

Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, electrical breakdowns and fault finding.

Practical knowledge of industrial motors, LV systems, control panels and electrical circuits.

Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.

Ability to read electrical drawings, diagnose faults and work independently.

A strong understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable, but not essential.

Experience within manufacturing, food production, engineering, utilities, power generation, Energy-from-Waste or heavy industry would be particularly relevant.
Previous Energy-from-Waste experience is not essential. We're interested in qualified electricians with strong industrial maintenance skills who can transfer their experience into this environment.

Why Consider This Opportunity? If you're currently working rotating shifts, nights or unpredictable hours, this role offers predominantly Monday-to-Friday daytime working while retaining the technical variety of industrial electrical maintenance.
You'll be working on a wide range of plant equipment, tackling electrical faults, supporting maintenance improvements and developing your knowledge of the energy generation sector.
With a competitive basic salary, overtime opportunities and a permanent position, this could be a great move for an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for their next opportunity. xwwtmva
