Full job description Load Shovel Operator – Immediate Start | £500 Starting Bonus Location: Colne BB8 8LB Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Hours: 47.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday + every 3rd Saturday Start Time: 6:00am Start Date: ASAP About the Role £500 Starting Bonus Receive a £500 starting bonus, paid in two instalments: * £250 after successfully completing 6 weeks of work * £250 after successfully completing 12 weeks of work We are currently looking for an experienced Load Shovel Operator to join a leading waste management operation in Colne. This is a great opportunity for a skilled operator to secure ongoing work with an established and reputable employer. Immediate availability is preferred. Key Responsibilities * Safely operate a loading shovel for the processing and loading of recyclable materials. * Load, move, and process waste and recyclable materials safely and efficiently. * Carry out daily machinery and equipment checks and report any defects. * Ensure waste is loaded correctly and safely. * Promptly clear any spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment. * Operate machinery responsibly while following all Health & Safety procedures. * Support with weighbridge administration duties when required. * Work effectively as part of the wider waste management team.
