Teaching Assistant - SEN Primary

Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary / SEN Location: Wirral, Merseyside, UK Job Description: This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives (12 weeks of temporary work which can lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks). The School is an independent 39-week specialist day provision for boys and girls, aged between 5 and 11, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We also work with a range of other education settings across Wirral. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities * Assisting children with reading and literacy tasks * Preparing classrooms for lessons and activities * Working with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including children with additional needs * Creating displays of children’s work * Supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour * Helping children on school trips and during group activities * Listening to children read, telling stories, and providing extra support as needed Requirements: * Minimum of 3 months' experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or similar settings * References covering the last two years (no gaps) * Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one * Right to work in the UK Benefits: * Excellent rates of pay, paid weekly with no payroll charges * Flexible...
