Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher to join a supportive specialist education setting in Leiston, Suffolk, working with secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are keen to hear from teachers with a mainstream or SEN background who are looking for a rewarding opportunity to use their teaching skills in a specialist environment. You don't necessarily need to have worked in an SEMH setting previously. The school is looking for a teacher who is patient, resilient, adaptable and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. The Role As a teacher within the setting, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons suited to pupils' individual needs Teach across the curriculum according to your experience and subject strengths Support secondary-aged pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs Adapt teaching and learning approaches to help pupils engage and make progress Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment Work cl...
