SEMH Teacher - Southampton Specialist School Start Date: October 2026 Contract: Initially until Christmas 2026, with the potential to extend until July 2027 Salary: £175 - £260 per day (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Location: Southampton Job Description Supply Desk is supporting a well-established specialist school in Southampton in its search for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join the team from October 2026. This is a full-time position working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalised lessons, supporting students both academically and emotionally while helping them overcome barriers to learning. The role is initially expected to continue until Christmas 2026, with a strong possibility of extension through to July 2027 for the right candidate. This opportunity would suit an experienced SEMH Teacher, SEND Teacher, Primary or Secondary Teacher looking to transition into specialist education, or a teacher with a strong passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
