Refrigeration Engineer

Working across a diverse range of commercial or industrial environments, you'll be involved in everything from fault-finding and reactive maintenance through to installations, commissioning and specialist refrigeration projects Key Responsibilities * Install, service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems. * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). * Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs. * Diagnose faults and identify effective and efficient solutions. * Complete refrigeration installations and commissioning activities where required. * Work on a range of commercial refrigeration equipment and systems. * Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with relevant industry standards. * Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. * Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and other site personnel. * Represent the company positively while working on customer sites. * Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider engineering team. * Maintain and develop technical knowledge as new technologies, systems and refrigerants are introduced. Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: * Proven experience working as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer. * Relevant refrigeration / RACHP qualifications. * Current F-Gas certification. * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. * Practical experience working on commercial refrigeration systems. * Full UK driving licence. * Professional approach to customers and colleagues. * Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively. * Strong commitment to health, safety and quality. * Good communication and customer service skills. * CO2 refrigeration systems. * Ammonia refrigeration. * Low-GWP refrigerants. * Large commercial or industrial refrigeration systems. * Cold rooms and freezer rooms. * Retail refrigeration. * Cold stores and distribution centres. * Food production and manufacturing environments. * Planned preventative maintenance contracts. * Refrigeration installation and commissioning. * A strong work ethic. * Reliability and professionalism. * Initiative and a proactive approach. * Pride in the quality of their work. * A willingness to learn and develop. * The ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A positive attitude towards customers and colleagues. * Ambition to progress within the business.
