Job Opportunity – Interim Group Accountant (Capital/Closedown) – Wales (Potential for Fully Remote Working) * Job Role: Interim Group Accountant (Capital/Closedown) * Location: Wales * Contract Duration: 6 Months + * Rate: DOE * IR35: Inside * Hybrid: Preference is X2 days in office per week. Could potentially consider fully remote for candidates who are not as local. * Days: full time hours, 5 days per week. * Start Date: ASAP A local authority client of mine based in Wales are currently on the lookout for a Group Accountant (Capital/Closedown) to join their team on an initial 6 month basis. Main duties: * Reporting directly into the Chief Accountant. * Managing/Supervising a team of 7/8 employees within corporate finance. * Hand on capital accounting – capital closedown, capital budget setting, capital budget monitoring, fixed asset register. * VAT & Treasury is dealt with by other members within the team. * Supporting rather than leading on the production of the statement of accounts.
