We are looking for a kind, reliable and engaging PA/Support Worker to support an 18-year-old young man in North Cheam. SPA-RIR is a calm young adult who would benefit from having a PA who enjoys spending time with him, engaging with him and encouraging interaction during activities. The role will involve playing with him in the garden or spending time together at home, depending on the weather, as well as providing support with feeding, toileting and personal care. During term time, the PA will work 8 hours per week, Monday to Thursday between 4pm and 6pm. During the school holidays, the hours will increase to 12 hours per week, spread across four days at 3 hours per day. The times during the school holidays can be arranged with the family. We are looking for someone who is responsible, creative and with a patient and caring approach. The ideal PA will be comfortable getting involved in activities and will take the time to build a positive and trusting relationship with SPA-RIR. This would suit someone who enjoys supporting young people and can provide friendly, consistent and attentive support while helping SPA-RIR enjoy his time at home and in the garden.
