We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable PA to support a 77-year-old lady living in Croydon who has dementia. This is a rewarding opportunity to help her remain safe, comfortable and as independent as possible in her own home while supporting her to stay connected with her local community. The role will initially be for three days per week, up to 15 hours each week, with the potential to increase to around 20 hours per week over five days as the support package develops. The successful candidate will provide person-centred support with personal care, including bathing, nail care, administering medication, preparing meals, and ensuring that CRO-SAA eats regularly. The role also involves carrying out light household tasks and accompanying her to the local community centre and other outings. The focus of the position is to promote her wellbeing, dignity, and independence while providing respectful, compassionate support. As she is living with dementia, she may sometimes be reluctant to accept care, particularly when getting to know someone new. We are therefore looking for someone who is patient, understanding and able to build trust at her own pace. Experience of supporting people with dementia would be highly desirable. Speaking Urdu is essential for the role.
