Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced manufacturing engineer on behalf of our client based in Birmingham This is a permanent role on Days / AM shifts with immediate starts available Responsibilities: * Participate in design reviews to ensure ease of production is captured at design stage * Lead PFMEA activity * Responsible for the ensuring the current manufacturing process are robust. * The first point of contact for process related issues on the shop floor. * Resolve production related issues with quality and engineering. * Creation of detailed & concise build SOPs and process flow charts. * Interpret & contribute to design standards focussing on safety, quality, cost, manufacturability, serviceability & adherence to international, market specific standards. * Report errors/quality issues with bought in parts to engineering & quality departments * Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance * Take responsibility for & manage bills of material as product moves from engineering to production * Identify appropriate tools & equipment to support correct or new manufacturing process * Identify skills or gaps in training requirements for production personnel * Ensure safe working practices are implemented & adhered to at all times * Create TPM for all machinery within your area * Find ways to reduce operational costs by eliminating waste in the manufacturin...
