Speech and Language Therapy Assistant – Haringey

Location: Haringey

Contract: Contract

Pay: £110–£145 per day PAYE

The opportunity

A Haringey SEN school setting requires a therapy assistant to help pupils develop functional communication through carefully planned individual and small-group work.

What you will do

• Deliver programmes prepared by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
• Use visual communication, AAC and interaction strategies suited to each pupil.
• Prepare practical resources and embed communication targets into everyday routines.
• Record responses accurately and share useful feedback with the therapy and education teams.
• Encourage confident communication in a safe and supportive environment.

What you will bring

• Relevant experience supporting speech, language or communication needs.
• The ability to follow therapy plans accurately and adapt in the moment.
• Good record-keeping, teamwork and safeguarding practice.
• QTS is not required for this therapy-support role.
