Job Title: Chef Required
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £26.79 Per Hour

This is a Temporary Position of 6 months

Working hours are 9am- 5pm . Monday to friday

\n

Candidate MUST have a valid DBS.

\n

Job Summary:
\n We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team in Abingdon. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cooking and as a Chef , ensuring that all food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including basic cooking tasks, assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
\n
• Cooking: Perform cooking duties as required, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct temperature, taste, and presentation standards.
\n
• Kitchen Assistance: Support the kitchen team by assisting with food prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly sanitized and stored.
\n
• Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning work surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
\n
• Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
\n

Qualifications and Skills:

\n

\n
• Previous experience as a chef or a lead cook
\n
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
\n
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided if necessary).
\n
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
\n
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
\n
