Umbrella - £16.00 per hour - Umbrella

Job Purpose

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within a busy secondary school. You will carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, toilets, corridors, offices, and communal areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness for staff and students.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Clean classrooms and teaching areas.
  
• Clean toilets and washroom facilities.
  
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  
• Dust and sanitise surfaces.
  
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  
• Maintain hygiene standards throughout the school.
  
• Clean communal areas, offices, and staff facilities.
  
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely.
  
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and cleaning schedules.
  
• Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and presentable.
  

Essential Experience Required

• Previous cleaning experience.
  
• Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
  
• Good attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently.
  
• Reliable and punctual.
  
• Understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
  
• Ability to work as part of a team.
  

Essential Qualifications Required

• Enhanced DBS with Barred List.
  
• Right to Work in the UK.
  

Additional Information to Note

• Working Hours: 15 hours per week.
  
• Monday to Friday.
  
• Shift Pattern: 15:00 - 18:00.
  
• Location: Christ Church Academy.
  
• Enhanced DBS required.
  
• 3 Years References required.
  
• Proof of Address and National Insurance Number required.
  
• We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
