A well-established Housing Association operating across North Wales is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join their property services team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a reputable social housing provider, helping to ensure properties remain safe,pliant and maintained to the highest standards.
Your new role
As a Fire Door Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of fire door installation, maintenance, repairs and remedial works across occupied and void residential properties.Duties will include:
- Installation of new fire doors and frames
- Fire door upgrades and remedial works
- Fire stopping and associated carpentry works
- Inspection, maintenance and repair of existing fire doors
- Replacing ironmongery including hinges, closers, locks and seals
- Ensuring all workplies with current fire safety regulations and standards
- Accuratepletion of job sheets andpliance documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service while working within occupied homes
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience installing and maintaining fire doors within social housing, public sector ormercial environments
- Knowledge of BM Trada, FIRAS or fire doorpliance standards
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
