Our client, an established specialist distributor of electronic components and technical solutions, are looking for a Head of Technical - Batteries/Power to join their team on a permanent basis and can be based UK wide. This is a senior technical and commercial leadership role responsible for leading the technical team, developing a strong design-in pipeline and driving growth across the batteries and power technology portfolio. Key responsibilities of the Head of Technical - Batteries/Power job based UK wide: Lead and develop the Technical team, setting KPIs and driving performance across the design funnel Develop and convert a sustainable pipeline of design opportunities into design wins and production Act as the technical expert across batteries, power and associated technologies Work closely with Sales, Account Management and suppliers to identify and convert new opportunities Provide technical support throughout the customer design cycle, from evaluation and testing through to production Develop supplier growth plans and manage key supplier relationships and QBRs Identify gaps within the product portfolio and develop strategies to introduce new suppliers and technologies Build relationships with senior decision-makers across customers and suppliers Monitor market and technology developments to identify new opportunities Support customer visits, supplier training, webinars, exhibitions and marketing campaigns Report on technic...
