Our Client is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join a successful school in Watford as soon as possible. The school is seeking a teacher who can bring Psychology to life through engaging lessons, thoughtful discussion and carefully structured academic activities.

The successful Psychology Teacher will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, helping students develop a secure understanding of psychological theories, research methods and key areas of the subject. You will be responsible for planning lessons that challenge students academically while providing appropriate support for those who require additional guidance.

A major part of the role will involve preparing students for examinations and helping them develop the ability to apply psychological concepts, analyse research and construct well-developed written responses. The successful candidate should therefore be confident with assessment, feedback and examination preparation.

Experience and Qualifications

• Psychology Teacher with strong subject knowledge.

• Ability to teach Psychology effectively at the appropriate secondary/Post-16 level.

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.

• Experience planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons.

• Strong understanding of examination preparation and assessment.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Ability to differentiate lessons for students with a range of abilities.

• Enthusiasm for Psychology and a commitment to developing students' academic confidence.

• Legal ability to work within the UK.
