Health & Safety Advisor Nottingham | Permanent | £38,000-£45,000 DOE\n
We are working with a well-established specialist architectural engineering business based in Nottingham, who are now looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team and play a key role in maintaining and developing strong health and safety standards across the business. known for producing bespoke, high-end work for a range of projects.
The Role\n
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the business in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-managed working environment across the workshop and, where required, external sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing practical Health & Safety advice across the business.
\n - \n
Supporting and maintaining health & safety policies, procedures and systems.
\n - \n
Carrying out regular workplace inspections and audits.
\n - \n
Supporting risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments.
\n - \n
Identifying potential hazards and working with teams to implement appropriate control measures.
\n - \n
Supporting accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
\n - \n
Monitoring compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
\n - \n
Working closely with workshop, management and site teams to promote a positive safety culture.
\n - \n
Supporting training, toolbox talks and ongoing Health & Safety awareness.
\n - \n
Maintaining accurate Health & Safety records and documentation.
\n - \n
Helping identify opportunities to continually improve Health & Safety standards.
\n
About You\n
We are looking for someone who is confident, practical and comfortable working with people at all levels.
\n
Ideally, you will have:
\n

Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor / H&S Officer / similar role.
\n - \n
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, fabrication or a similar environment.
\n - \n
A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH would be highly desirable.
\n - \n
Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
\n - \n
Experience completing risk assessments, inspections and audits.
\n - \n
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
\n - \n
The confidence to challenge unsafe practices and communicate effectively with workshop and management teams.
\n - \n
A practical approach to Health & Safety rather than simply focusing on paperwork.
\n - \n
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial for occasional site work.
\n
\n
Experience within architectural metalwork, structural steel, fabrication or construction would be particularly advantageous, but applications from candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
Hours & Benefits\n

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm

Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
\n - \n
Salary: £38,000-£45,000 depending on experience
\n - \n
Overtime paid at x1.5 after 39 hours
\n - \n
30 days holiday including bank holidays
\n - \n
