PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join our client's kitchen team.

Position: Sous Chef
Pay Rate: up to £17.48p/h inc hol pay
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary / Permanent opportunities may be available

The Role

\n

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a high standard of food and service.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
\n
• Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard
\n
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
\n
• Ensure food is prepared and presented correctly
\n
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
\n
• Assist with stock rotation and stock control
\n
• Minimise food waste and maintain good kitchen organisation
\n
• Follow all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
\n
• Support junior members of the kitchen team
\n
• Help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
\n

About You

\n

\n
• Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef
\n
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking
\n
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
\n
• Able to work well under pressure
\n
• Reliable, hardworking and organised
\n
• Good communication and teamwork skills
\n
